Riyadh, Dhu-AlHijjah 29, 1439, September 09, 2018, SPA -- The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with Cooperative Societies Council, is organizing in the Philippines the "Agricultural and Rural Tourism Industry" program for distinguished farmers in the agricultural terraces project.
The program aims to explore the experience of the Philippines in the agro-touristic industry and benefit from the outputs of the program to support the agricultural terraces initiative carried out by the ministry.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Agriculture Ahmed Al-Ayadah said that this program will include a meeting with officials of the tourism sector of The Philippines on the stages of development of the agricultural and rural tourism industry, and its economic, social and environmental impact on the development and sustainability of The Philippines countryside.
It is worth mentioning that the "Rehabilitation of Agriculture Terraces and Application of Rain Water Collection Technologies in the South Western Area of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia" initiative is one of the National Transformation Programs that aims to ensure sustainable food security for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
