Iraq: two Daeshi die in security forces operation


(MENAFN) The Iraqi military declared that two Daesh suicide attackers have died, as another was injured, in security forces' operation in Iraq's central province of Salahudin.

Yahya Rasoul, spokesman of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command confirmed that soldiers from Samarra Operations Command, have coordinated three Daesh militants, in the rugged area of al-Siefonah, in eastern Samarra, some 120 km north of Iraq's capital, Baghdad, depending on a tip-off.

It added that the soldiers exchanged fire with the three militants, shooting dead two dead and wounding another, and captured a bombing belt.

The search for Daesh hideouts and militants in the neighboring area remains ongoing.
