Why does this Telangana man worship Donald Trump?
22 Jun 2018

Along with Hindu Gods, 31-year-old Bussa Krishna, from Telangana worships US President, Donald Trump, daily. He has a picture of what he describes as 'World's most powerful man', and does aarti after offering him flowers, turmeric and vermillion.

The reason behind this is Krishna's belief that Indians can win over anyone with their love.

And, he thinks Trump is no less than a God.

Murder of Srinivas Kuchibhotla led Krishna to worship Trump
Series of events

Krishna was shaken after Indian techie Srinivas Kuchibhotla was killed by US Navy veteran in a hate-crime. Kuchibhotla was murdered in Kansas City last year.

Upset over the incident, Krishna began worshipping Trump.

"I thought the only way the US president and his people could understand the greatness of Indians is to display our love and affection towards them," Krishna told HT.

Ironically, the devotee Krishna doesn't know much about Trump
The devotee

Though he doesn't miss praying to Trump even for one day, Krishna doesn't know much about him.

"I only know that he is the most strong and invincible leader in the world. What I liked about him was his bold attitude," he said.

A school dropout, Krishna was convinced of Trump's 'power' when he participated in World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

Interestingly, Krishna claims Donald Trump messaged him once
The message

Krishna claims Donald Trump sent him a message on Twitter on June 19 and called him his favorite Indian.

"He's able to channel dragon energy from worshipping my photos; maybe low-energy Jeb Bush should give it a try; I'd be happy send him a pic!" the message reportedly read.

While the authenticity is debatable, Krishna was happy to get an acknowledgement.
