(MENAFN) President Trump was declared to not be appearing at the funeral of former first lady Barbara "out of respect".
According to the White House, President Trump will not attend the funeral "to avoid disruptions due to added security, and out of respect for the Bush Family."
The White House statement further announced First Lady Melania Trump to appear at the funeral "on behalf of the First Family".
During a news conference Wednesday, the US president paid a tribute to the late former lady, describing her as a "wonderful, wonderful person".
He said while at the Mar-a-Lago resort that "she was a woman of proud patriotism and profound faith."
