Iraqi court to execute sister of IS leader


(MENAFN) The sister of the head of the Islamic State group has been found guilty in terrorism charges,as a Baghdad court trialed her of execution.

Abdul-Sattar Bayrkdar,the spokesman of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council,declared that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's sister was convicted of "offering logistic support and help to (IS militants) in carrying out criminal acts."

Bayrkdar added that the suspect,whose identity was not revealed yet, has also been charged of "distributing money" to the IS militants in Mosul,which they have occupied for over three years.

He also confirmed that the woman's husband was found guilty and sentenced to death as well in the charge of IS membership.
