UNICEF allows return for school in Tonga through emergency supplies

(MENAFN) The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) was confirmed to have presented Tonga with emergency education materials, making it possible for around 14,000 students to continue their classes.

UNICEF emergency education supplies was reported to have covered backpacks, childhood development kits, school-in-a-box, recreation kits, along with tents that serve as short-term classrooms.

UNICEF Pacific Representative Sheldon Yett declared "UNICEF is supporting the Ministry of Education and Training in Tonga to reach thousands of children affected by this disaster by bringing the classrooms to the children after their schools were damaged in the cyclone."

Education supplies were highlighted by Yett as the answer to guarantee students' going back to learning at schools as soon as possibly can.
