Afghanistan- President Ghani Stresses on Standardize Healthcare System


(MENAFN- Daily Outlook Afghanistan) KABUL - President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday said that the Afghan health sector is facing serious challenges and it needs to be standardized to provide better healthcare services to the public.
Speaking in medical doctors and dentists' registration launching ceremony held at Presidential Palace on Tuesday, Ghani said some hospitals in the country has improved its health care services, particularly, Wazir Akbar Khan hospital in Kabul.
However, he stressed that further steps need to be taken for standardizing healthcare system in the country, which according to him it will save lives of millions of Afghans in the country.
The president stated that lack of standardize healthcare system, is forcing the Afghans to spend millions of dollars in outside of the country for medical treatment, adding that fundamental changes should be brought into the medial system in next 18 months. (ATN)
