Radio host Chris Tarrant pleads guilty to drinking and driving

(MENAFN) Radio host and TV presenter Chris Tarrant has pleaded guilty to drunk driving, leading him to be prohibited from drinking.

The ban came as a result of an incident on 16 December when Tarrant was spotted driving over the legal limit in Bucklebury, Berkshire.

Reading magistrates has suspended his license for twelve months along with ordering him to pay a 6,000 euro fine.

During a court hearing, Tarrant was shown to have been heavily intoxicated as a breathalyser reading was 50 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
