Central government launches mobile app, pension adalats for the retirees
20 Sep 2017

Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Ministry will now launch a mobile app to help central government employees, who are scheduled to retire.

This app will let them know the headway made in their pension settlement claims.

Moreover, they will also be able to obtain their superannuation funds and record complaints, if any, via the pension calculator.

Here's more about it.

What is it all about?
Portal

The concerned ministry already operates a portal for the same purpose.

The objective of creating this app is to extend all the services, that are available on the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare's portal, to mobile devices for ease of access.

Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Jitendra Singh will launch this app today.

Anubhav awards will be given

Singh will also take this occasion to award 17 pensioners, who have made significant contributions towards "Anubhav," which is a platform for retirees to share their experiences.

There will also be a pre-retirement counseling workshop for 300 central government employees, who are scheduled to retire soon.

This workshop will be directed towards creating awareness about their post-retirement allowances and life planning.

First pension adalat initiated
Adalat

The first of several pension adalats will also be launched at this event.

A pension adalat has been construed to bring together a pensioner, facing troubles with his/her retirement claims, the concerned department and a bank or Central Government Health Scheme representation, whichever suits the case.

This is to ensure that the problem gets settled without any hiccup or delay.
