Barakat, MD, FAAP, Pediatrician to their prestigious organization with his upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Barakat has been in practice for more than five decades and is currently serving patients Northern Virginia Pediatric Associates in Falls Church, Virginia. He is also affiliated with Inova Fairfax Hospital and the Virginia Hospital Center.
Dr. Barakat's acclaimed career in medicine began in 1967 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He remained at AUB for his pediatric training, before relocating to the United States and completing further training at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Barakat is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and has earned the coveted title of Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Barakat serves as a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Georgetown University Medical Center. He is a distinguished member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and for his wealth of experience and knowledge is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions. Having been listed in Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care, Dr. Bakarat has an international reputation for excellence. He has dedicated his life to delivering the highest standard of quality care to his patients, and dedicates his free time to spending time with his family.
