S. Korea aims IPOs for 8 public energy firms by 2020


(MENAFN) S. Korea proclaimed that it will finish initial public offerings (IPOs) for 8 public energy firms by 2020 to help enhance their fiscal status.

Furthermore, the 8 firms involve Korea South-East Power Co., Korea Southern Power Co., Korea East-West Power Co., Korea Midland Power Co. and others.

Accordingly, Korea South-East Power Co. and Korea East-West Power Co. will be listed on S. Korea"s main KOSPI market in the coming year.

The country"s state-run utility firm Korea Elect Power Corp. owns 100 percent of seven firms, except for Korea Gas Tech Corp., which is owned by Korea Gas Corp.
