Jeddah, Dhu-AlQa'dah 17, 1437, August 20, 2016, SPA -- Abdulmalik Al-Mikhlafi, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister of Yemen, met in Jeddah today with Mikhael Bugdanov, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, who is also Russian President Vladimir Putin's special envoy for middle east.
During the meeting, the Russian envoy declared that his country supports legitimacy in Yemen and that this position is unchangable as Russia is keen to see a united, secure and stable Yemen.
He said the two countries point of view of Russia and Yemen is identical as regards the support for the UN envoy for Yemen Ismael Ould Al-Cheich Ahmed to reach peace in Yemen according to the three references represented in the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the national dialogue and the resolutions of the UN Security Council, including resolution No. 2216.
