Brazilian exports to UAE up 13 percent in Jan-Aug


(MENAFN) Brazilian exports to the UAE registered an increase by 13 percent in the January-August period, reaching USD1.767 billion, equaling 20 percent of Brazil's total exports to the Arab world of USD8.51 billion, Arabian Business reported.

Saudi Arabia followed the UAE in as the second Brazilian export market in the region during the cited period, with exports value reaching USD1.684 billion, though the figure was down 10 percent compared the first eight months last year.

During the January-August period, Brazil's imports from Arab countries totaled to USD7.5 billion, decreasing 2.56 percent compared to the same period last year.

However, for the month of August alone, exports to the UAE were up 43 percent from August 2013 reaching USD294.21 million, while exports to Saudi Arabia, reached USD293.96 million.
