Al Omaniya's Q2 net profit rises 7


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Kick-starting the second-quarter earnings season, Al Omaniya Financial Services (AOFS), the largest non-banking financial services company in Oman, announced a 7.1 per cent growth in net profit for the second quarter this year.


Al Omaniya's second-quarter net profit rose to RO2.93mn, against RO2.73mn in the corresponding quarter last year, according to the company's initial quarterly numbers disclosed to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) on Sunday.


The total revenue of AOFS increased marginally to RO9.23mn in the second quarter of 2014, compared with RO9.19mn in the same quarter last year.


The company's net instalment finance receivables decreased marginally by 0.4 per cent to RO217.3mn at the end of the second quarter from RO218.2mn a year ago.


AOFS's net worth increased by four per cent to RO60.06mn, compared with RO57.71 in the second quarter of last year.
