Ministers Of Foreign Affairs Of Qatar, Arab Islamic States, Affirm Support For Syria's Security, Unity, Stability, And Sovereignty

Doha: The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Republic of Türkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Lebanese Republic, and the Arab Republic of Egypt held extensive discussions today regarding developments in Syria in light of the current situation and the collective efforts to support the sisterly Syrian government in building a foundation that ensures the security, unity, stability, and rights of all its citizens.

The ministers affirmed the following in a joint statement:

- The importance of supporting Syria's security, stability, and sovereignty, and rejecting any external interference in its affairs.

- Welcoming the agreements that were recently concluded to resolve the crisis in the As-Suwayda governorate, and emphasizing the necessity of their implementation to protect the lives of Syrians and their citizens, and to preserve the sanctity of blood and uphold the rule of law and legislation.

- Welcoming the commitment of the head of the Syrian government, HE Ahmad Al Sharaa, to hold accountable all those responsible for the transgressions against citizens in the As-Suwayda governorate, and affirming all efforts to enforce the rule of law and legislation in the As-Suwayda governorate and all parts of the Syrian territory, and to prevent sedition, incitement, and hatred.

- Condemning the repeated Israeli attacks on the Syrian Arab Republic and rejecting them as a flagrant violation of international law and a new aggression against Syria that undermines its security, stability, unity, and sovereignty. They also affirmed their rejection of the use of Syrian territory to settle scores and choose the fate of the brotherly people.

- The security and stability of Syria are a fundamental pillar for regional security, stability, and common priorities.
