Russia's FESCO Turan Paving New Logistics Roads Between Uzbekistan And Asia (Exclusive)

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 27. FESCO Turan, a subsidiary of the Russian FESCO transport group, is hard at work increasing the number of logistical routes that connect Uzbekistan to key Asian nations, the company told Trend .

A key component of FESCO Turan's strategy is the organization of regular road transport and multimodal routes, which aim to provide effective and rapid transportation options throughout several Asian nations.

Shipping commodities to Uzbekistan from Europe and China is one of the most extraordinary routes. Twenty such shipments are planned by the corporation monthly. Particular focus is being placed on enhancing transportation procedures along routes that traverse Pakistan. Utilizing the Pakistani port of Karachi, FESCO Turan has established intermodal connections that link Uzbekistan to Southeast Asia.

Additionally, the company is optimizing delivery times by offering direct railway routes between China and Uzbekistan through the Altynkol and Khorgos border crossings, located on the Kazakhstan-China border. The company offers intermodal transport, which involves shipping goods to Chinese ports before delivering them to other countries in the region.

Moreover, FESCO Turan has also successfully shipped mineral fertilizers from Uzbekistan to South Korea and the Philippines, passing through Chinese territory, over the past two months. These operations contribute to strengthening trade ties between Central, Eastern, and Southeast Asia, significantly increasing the volume and speed of shipments.

As mentioned, Uzbekistan plans to introduce a zero percent value-added tax (VAT) rate on certain services related to international freight transportation.

This proposed measure will include transportation and freight forwarding services, as well as other tasks allowed by relevant agreements. These may include receiving and delivering cargo, storing and handling it, organizing cargo insurance, clearing customs for goods and vehicles, keeping track of cargo in case of delivery delays, warehousing, and renting wagons and containers.
