Peshawar: Like other cities across the country, slow internet speeds in Peshawar are causing significant issues, particularly in hospitals, where patients from remote areas face delays in receiving test reports.
According to a report by Geo News, the sluggish internet prevents patients from sharing their medical reports online with doctors. At Lady Reading Hospital, spokesperson Muhammad Asim highlighted that thousands of patients visit the emergency departments of the province's three major teaching hospitals daily. Patient data and disease diagnoses are recorded online, but the slow internet has disrupted hospital administration and patient care processes.

Health experts note that even using VPNs for essential applications has proven challenging. The delay in test reports due to internet issues is frustrating both doctors and patients. They have urged the government to resolve the issue promptly.
The internet slowdown is affecting healthcare and causing distress to students and businesses across the country.
Freelancers report difficulty in meeting deadlines due to the reduced speed, resulting in some profiles being deactivated on various platforms. Digital market experts warn that if the internet issues persist, international clients may shift their work to countries like Bangladesh or India.
