Azerbaijan Introduces High-Tech Weighing System On 'Victory Road' (PHOTO)


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Installation of electronic weighing stations has begun along the "Victory Road" in territories liberated from occupation, said Subhan Abilov, Director of the Cargo transportation Department of the Land transport Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

Abilov announced the initiative at a media tour of the electronic weighing station monitoring center located within the Baku International Bus Terminal complex.

New technology will be employed to implement electronic scales along the highways in phases.

"We plan to install a total of 51 weighing stations at 31 locations. Installation has already been completed for six electronic scales at three sites along the Baku-Guba-State Border with the Russian Federation and at one location on the Baku-Alat-Gazakh highway to the Georgian border.

Additionally, 13 more weighing stations are planned for 9 sites in other areas," he added.
