Free Check-Up Likeabilities Clarified In Future In Azerbaijan (Exclusive)

(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 30. Azerbaijani citizens are eligible for free medical check-ups funded by Compulsory Medical Insurance (CMI) solely in the presence of medical indications, including health complaints, head of the Department of Medical Services and Pharmaceuticals at the State Agency for Mandatory Medical Insurance Nargiz Aghayeva said in an interview with Trend .

Aghayeva pointed out that without medical indications, CMI doesn't pick up the tab for any examinations.

"A health certificate can be obtained without medical indications. Consequently, this is classified as a preventive examination and is excluded from the MMI coverage.

Citizens can obtain a health certificate by paying a fee of 40.12 manat ($23.6), which includes examinations from various specialists such as therapists, surgeons, neurologists, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, dermatovenerologists, and dentists, in addition to fluorography and general blood and urine tests. The certificate's price is indicative of medical service costs, public demand, and the scope of instruments and laboratory investigations.

Future plans may involve integrating 'control' examinations within the service package or administering them within basic healthcare services. These evaluations may ultimately enable the issue of health certificates. We are diligently addressing this matter and will assess the feasibility of incorporating these credentials within the service package based on the particular type of check-up," she concluded.
