Uzbekneftegaz To Join Forces With Japanese Bank In Financing Joint Projects


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 4. Uzbekneftgaz JSC (the oil and gas company of Uzbekistan) is interested in strengthening ties with the Japanese MUFG bank Ltd. for financing joint projects, Trend reports.

This issue was discussed during a meeting between Uzbekneftgaz and representatives of the Japanese company.

The parties talked about cooperation projects with foreign banks and the potential for providing loans in yen.

Moreover, they reviewed the bank's indicative proposals for financing the purchase of equipment from China under the insurance coverage of Export Credit Agencies (ECA) and the project timelines.

Previously, Uzbekneftegaz representatives discussed the attraction of financing for green projects, with the delegation of German AKA European Export-Trade Bank.

The parties also considered the possibility of financing the existing contracts of Uzbekneftegaz JSC with European content.
