ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 1. Vice Minister of
Transport Maksat Kaliakparov and Chairperson of the Civil Aviation
Committee Saltanat Tompieva have discussed the transition to JET
A-1 Aviation fuel for Kazakhstan's civil aviation with IATA
Regional Vice President for Europe Rafael Schwartzman, Trend reports via the
country's transport ministry.
According to the information, sustainable development and the
shift to biofuels were important issues raised by the participants.
Additionally, they discussed the implementation of the Carbon
Offsetting and Reduction of Carbon Emissions for International
Aviation (CORSIA) program in Kazakhstan.
Moreover, Schwartzman highlighted that the aviation business in
Kazakhstan has been growing at a rapid pace, and the country's
dedication to meeting IACAO criteria has been lauded.
He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Transport and the
Civil Aviation Committee for organizing the IATA Regional Seminar,
scheduled for 1-2 October 2024, which will focus on flight safety
and sustainable development.
The parties agreed to further cooperation, emphasizing the
importance of joint efforts for the growth of the aviation industry
in Kazakhstan.
