Azerbaijan Welcomes More Ukrainian War-Affected Children For Rehabilitation Services


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. The work on attracting children affected by the war in Ukraine to Azerbaijan for rehabilitation services continues, Trend reports.

Another 30 Ukrainian children have been brought to Azerbaijan for rehabilitation services organized by the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan.

The children will be provided with medical as well as social-psychological rehabilitation services within the 10-day rehabilitation program at the Gabala Children Rehabilitation Center of the Agency.

Individual consultations of professional psychologists, group therapy, as well as yoga and dance therapy classes, will be organized for the children.

The rehabilitation program is aimed at supporting the stabilization of their emotional state and ensuring their integration into society.

Excursions to historical sites and museums in the cities of Shaki and Gabala will be organized to familiarize the children with Azerbaijani culture and national-cultural and historical heritage.

To note, together with the previous 5 groups, up to 180 Ukrainian children were brought to Azerbaijan and provided with social-psychological rehabilitation services.
