Geologists In Uzbekistan Unearth Additional Uranium Resources

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 6. A treasure
trove of uranium has been unearthed thanks to the Navoiuran state
enterprise's geological expedition in different parts of
Uzbekistan, Trend
reports via the decree by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The deposits were found in the nation's Shafirkon district of
Bukhara region, Farish district of Jizzakh region, Kyzyltepa and
Khatyrchi districts of Navoi region, Mubarek and Kasan districts of
Kashkadarya region, the city of Angren in Tashkent region, and Pap
district of Namangan region.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan
Jamal Faizullaev pointed out that Navoiuran intends to boost
uranium output by 1.5 times.
He also emphasized that the goal is to reduce uranium production
costs by 20.1 percent. According to him, this year, it's planned to
significantly increase geological exploration and conduct
exploration over an area of more than one million meters, as well
as drilling over 3.8 million meters for uranium extraction.
