Uzbekistan's Uztekstilprom To Open Its Rep Office In Azerbaijan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 23. Uzbekistan's Uztekstilprom textile and garment industry association has signed an agreement to open a representative office and exhibition hall in Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the association.

The agreement was signed during the Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum, which took place in Tashkent on August 22.

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov spoke at the forum's opening ceremony.

Uzbek minister highlighted that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan plan to establish trade houses and showrooms in Baku, Shusha, Tashkent, and Samarkand.

The business forum also included the exchange of signed documents on cooperation in various fields such as energy, education, logistics, and construction.

Additionally, there were discussions on expanding ties between the countries and establishing twinning relations between Jizzakh (Uzbekistan) and Guba (Azerbaijan), as well as Shahrisabz (Uzbekistan) and Beylagan (Azerbaijan).
