(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 30. Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with newly appointed First Vice President of Iran Mohammad Reza Aref in Tehran, Trend reports.

Prime Minister Asadov extended his congratulations to Vice President Aref on his appointment to the position.

Then the two states expressed satisfaction with the development of their relations, which are rooted in history, in a variety of spheres, including trade, economics, transportation, energy, and humanitarian assistance, during the meeting.

The discussions centered on the expansion of Azerbaijani-Iranian cooperation in a variety of sectors and other matters of mutual concern.
