
Iran's New President Masoud Pezeshkian Takes Oath Of Office
Tehran: Irans new president, Masoud Pezeshkian was sworn in, on Tuesday, before the Consultative Assembly, in a ceremony attended by delegations from 86 countries from all over the world.
In his remarks before the assembly, Pezeshkian pledged to adhere to the constitution and to utilize all resources and capabilities to improve the lives of the Iranian people. He expressed his country's desire for constructive and effective interaction with the world based on mutual interests and benefits.
He emphasized that Iranian foreign policy relies on rapprochement with neighboring countries, within a framework of economic and political unity, stating that he will work to strengthen regional relations and cooperation with everyone based on wisdom and shared interests.
Pezeshkian emphasized the unwavering Iranian support for the Palestinian question, pointing out the crimes being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
