Crown Prince Meets Group Of Young People In Zarqa


(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - HRH crown prince Hussein met with a group of young people in Zarqa Governorate on Thursday and discussed a number of local issues related to education, training and development.

During the meeting, held at the King Abdullah Cultural Centre in Zarqa, the Crown Prince stressed the importance of expanding vocational education and technical training, which contribute to creating non-traditional job opportunities for young people, according to a Royal Court statement.

The Crown Prince expressed pride in the nation's youth, noting the importance of their role in leading Jordan's future, the statement said.

Crown Prince Hussein called on young Jordanians to benefit from public and private institutions that support youth.

Turning to the threat of drugs, the Crown Prince stressed the need for concerted efforts to combat this scourge and raise awareness of its dangers and effects on the social fabric.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the Crown Prince toured a fine art exhibition at the centre, and viewed the artworks of a number of the centre's trainees, according to the statement.
