Doha, Qatar: The ongoing second edition of the Qatar Toy Festival is capturing the hearts of children and families alike this summer, emerging as the ultimate entertainment destination with its vibrant array of activities and attractions.

In a recent survey conducted by The Peninsula, 70 percent of the respondents said they liked the activities offered at the festival and some of them shred their positive experience. Many found the festival welcoming and a perfect entertainment venue for children and families.

“I purchased a VVIP pass, which provided smooth access to all the beautifully managed booths. The capacity control at each station ensured that the children could fully enjoy and experience every unique aspect. The parades were filled with energy and were a highlight for both kids and adults,” said Amna Shujaat, a working mother and long time expatriate in Doha.

She especially mentioned Blippi as the main character that stole the limelight. Cocomelon for babies was also a hit at the festival.

Qatar Toy Festival, organised by Visit Qatar, returned for its second edition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on July 15.

The festival spans over 17,000 square metres with 10 zones as Preschool, Girls, Boys, Anime, Family, Movie Land, Stage, F&B, Theming Area, and Retail.

It has continued to attract hundreds of visitors each day, especially on the weekends.“Visiting the Qatar Toy Festival was a breath of fresh air for our family. It gave the kids a joyful break from our usual summer outings to malls and pools. We all had a wonderful time exploring, playing, and creating lasting memories together,” said Umm Samir, adding that she was amazed by the size of the crowd the festival has attracted.

Many visitors to the festival took to social media to commend the event.

“This year the Qatar Toy Festival is bigger and I'm impressed by the number of activities. The event venue is bigger, clean and well organised. The staff is friendly and helpful,” said an Arab expatriate mother on Instagram.

The festival hosts parades, various kinds of stage shows, live mascots, play areas, performances by influencers, retail stores and more. New additions this year include Mr. Bean, Barney, and Barbie Dream house.

Rasha Rizk, the popular Arab Singer, songwriter and dubbing artist for cartoons and anime, was a crowd puller over the weekend. Many took to social media to express their excitement about her performances. They praised her for bringing“magic of spacetoon into life”. Spacetoon is a pan-Arab free-to-air television channel that specialises in animation and children programmes.

The festival will run until August 14. It welcomes visitors from 2pm to 10pm on Sunday through Wednesday, and from 2pm to 11pm on Thursday to Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online at q-tickets, virginmegastore, or in person at the entry gates of DECC.
