Tourism Industry Veteran Shahabuddin Ahmad Passes Away


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) Dhaka : Shahabuddin Ahmad, hailing from Barishal, a veteran personality of the country's tourism industry, passed away due to cardiac arrest at the age of 89 on June 21 at Holly Family Red Crescent Hospital in the capital.

He was the Publisher/Editor of "The travel World" magazine and former Chief of Planning Cell at Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

Ahmad was buried at Banani Graveyard in the capital.

On June 24, a dua-mehfil was held after Asar prayer for the salvation of his departed soul.

Ahmad was survived by his wife and three daughters.
