15 Combat Engagements Ongoing In Pokrovsk Direction


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 89 since the beginning of the day, most of them in the Pokrovsk direction.

The General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine reported this on facebook , publishing an update as of 7 p.m. on Monday, June 17.

In the Kharkiv direction, three combat engagements are ongoing near Vovchansk. Since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has made a total of nine attacks in the same area and near Lyptsi.

It has been preliminarily established that today in the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops lost 111 personnel, as well as another tank, an armored combat vehicle and 23 drones. In the Pokrovsk direction, the situation remains tense.

Since the beginning of the day, 37 combat clashes have already been recorded there. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 22 assaults by the invaders, and 15 more battles continue. The situation in this area of the front is under control.

"The enemy is suffering significant losses, especially in manpower – 290 dead and wounded occupiers are currently known. The counting is ongoing," the General Staff said.


In the Vremivka direction, Russian troops tried to attack the positions of the Defense Forces five times that day. Fighting continues near Staromaiorsk, Vodiane, Urozhaine. There were no significant changes in other directions.

As reported earlier, in the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Synkivka, Pishchane and Stepova Novoselivka.
