Ambassador Al-Zain Reminisces Late US Pres. George Bush Role In Liberation Of Kuwait


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, June 17 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Ambassador to the US Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah has recalled the role of the late President George H.W. Bush in mobilizing an international coalition to liberate the State of Kuwait from the Iraqi invasion in 1990.
Ambassador Al-Zain was speaking to KUNA during the inauguration of the Bush Library and Museum in Texas and on the occasion to commemorate President George H.W. Bush's 100th Birthday.
Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah said the audience was honored to listen to a recorded speech broadcast by His Highness the Amir sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah during the ceremony.
In his speech, His Highness the Amir expressed his deepest congratulations on opening the new library wing, also voicing Kuwait and its people's appreciation of the late president's great role in the liberation of the Kuwait war.
On this occasion, she stressed the importance of the legacy left by the late President George H.W. Bush and his role within the framework of the leadership of the International Coalition to Liberate the State of Kuwait, emphasizing the special place that the late President enjoyed in the hearts of Kuwaitis.
Sheikha Al-Zain also stressed the importance of remembering the role of leaders like the late President Bush, who take stances in making appropriate decisions to support the truth and promote international principles and laws.
The speech of His Highness the Amir received wide praise from the leaders of the Republican Party, led by former President George W. Bush, who lauded the distinguished and historical bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. (end)
