KRCS Hands Eid Meat To Needy Families, Syrian, Palestinian Refugees In Lebanon

BEIRUT, June 16 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has launched an initiative to distribute Eid Al-Adha meat to around 1,500 Lebanese families, and Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
Speaking to KUNA, the relief coordinator of the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) Youssef Boutros said that the KRCS and the LRC began the annual process of distribution to 1,500 families, including affected Lebanese families, Syrian and Palestinian refugees in different parts of Lebanon.
KRCS distributed last week Eid Al-Adha packages containing clothes and other essentials to some 2,000 families including affected Lebanese families, Syrian and Palestinian refugees.
The KRCS is also continuing its humanitarian aid to 6,000 Lebanese families in the south of the country, affected by military confrontations, which began last October, the aid contains food and staple supplies, being distributed with the help of the LRC. (end) fz
