Cruise Travel Co-Op With Caspian Littoral Countries Under Review - Azerbaijani Official


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Cooperationopportunities with Caspian littoral countries regarding cruisetravels are being assessed, Head of Administration of the StateTourism Agency of Azerbaijan Kanan Gasimov said during the 1stEconomic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Tour Operators Forum inBaku, Trend reports.

"Several proposals have been put forward, but addressinginfrastructural and other related issues is essential for theproper organization of tours. Currently, efforts are underway inthis regard," he emphasized.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was founded in 1985by Iran, Pakistan, and Türkiye as an intergovernmental regionalorganization aimed at fostering economic, technical, and culturalcooperation among member states.

In 1992, the organization underwent further expansion with theaccession of seven new members: Afghanistan, Azerbaijan,Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, andUzbekistan.
