President ofTajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, formerPresident of Turkmenistan and current Chairman of the People'sCouncil of the country, discussed matters related to thedevelopment and expansion of ties in the oil and gas sectors,Trend reports.
According to the press service of the Tajik president, thediscussion also delved into deepening cooperation in fields such aschemistry, metallurgy, industry, agriculture, transportation, andfreight. They highlighted the significance of broadeninginterregional relations by expanding cooperation between entitiesand establishing connections between sister cities of the twocountries.
Furthermore, cultural and humanitarian cooperation wereemphasized during the meeting. Both parties exchanged views oncoordinating cooperation within regional and internationalorganizations and further supporting each other's globalinitiatives.
Attention was given to regional security matters, includingcombating terrorism and extremism.
Berdimuhamedov arrived in Tajikistan for an official visit onApril 4. The official meetings and negotiations between Rahmon andBerdimuhamedov resulted in the signing of various documents.
