Turkmenistan To Discuss Rail Logistics Offing With Overseas Partners

Representatives of the railway industry of Turkmenistan willdiscuss the development of cooperation with foreign partners at the'Railway Logistics: Current Development Challenges" internationalconference, which will be held in Belarus on April 4, 2024,Trend reports.

The forum is expected to be attended by heads of internationaltransport organizations, railways of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia,China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well asrepresentatives of ministries and concerns, the largest shippers ofBelarus, residents of the Great Stone Chinese-Belarusian IndustrialPark, logistics operators of the railway'space 1520', ports, andowners of rolling stock.

The conference participants will discuss the formation ofrailway logistics and competitive logistics solutions in modernconditions.

Among other things, issues of port involvement, prospects forthe development and modernization of transport and logisticsinfrastructure, transport and transit potential of railways andlogistics companies involved in the organization of cargotransportation along the North-South and East-West internationaltransport corridors, as well as within the framework of theinitiative 'One Belt, One Road' will be discussed.

The participants will exchange opinions and relevant proposalsin the fields of transport and logistics, increase customerorientation and efficiency of interaction with cargo owners, andexpand accessibility and transparency in the railway business.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively cooperating with foreignpartners in the development of railway infrastructure, whichincludes the construction of new railway tracks, the modernizationof existing highways, and the introduction of modern technologiesand management systems.

Partnership in this area helps to strengthen transport linksbetween the countries of the region and ensures more efficientmovement of goods and passengers.
