(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Jan 7 (KUNA) -- A number of 26 Al-Shabab militia members, including a commander, were killed yesterday in an airstrike by the Somali National Army in cooperation with international partners in central Somalia, province of Mudug, said a news source on Sunday.
The Somali National News Agency (SONNA) reported that the army targeted the terrorists and their dens in its military operation in the south of Mudug.
Last Friday, the Somali Armed Forces managed to kill more than 50 members of the Al-Shabab militia in the same area as a result of a fierce battle between the two parties. (end)
