(MENAFN- AsiaNet News) Bengaluru is rocked by a wave of alarming bomb threats directed at 15 schools, instigating panic among educational institutions and parents alike. The threats, conveyed through anonymous emails, cast a pall of fear and uncertainty over several schools in the city, including the Basaveshwar Nagar Nafle School.
The gravity of the situation escalated when a school located in Yelahanka reported receiving a menacing bomb threat call, intensifying concerns among parents regarding the safety of their children. Consequently, many parents rushed to pick up their children from school premises, seeking to ensure their protection in light of the threats.

The threat has indicated that a bomb has been placed at Neev School in Sadashivnagar, Bengaluru. The school is situated opposite Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's residence. In response to the threat, parents have arrived at the school and taken their children back home for safety.
In the early hour of 6 am, an alarming message landed in the email of Neev School, signalling threats of bombing not only at the Sadashivanagar branch but also at five other school locations. The alarming threats encompassed the Sadashivanagar, Whitefield, and Koramangala branches of Neev school.
Along with the schools situated inside the city, Anekal, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, was also rattled by bomb threats issued via email targeting private schools in the area. The threats targeted Global International School and Green Hood High School near Bannerghatta.
Additionally, Ebenezer Dommasandra near Singena Agrahara and Inventure International Schools were also threatened. Promptly responding to the alarming situation, the police swiftly rushed to the affected schools, using both dog and bomb squads to conduct thorough searches of the premises.
