Next Generation School Class Of 2023 Shines At Graduation Ceremony

Doha, Qatar: The Next Generation (TNG) School hosted the graduation ceremony of the students of Year 11 and Year 13 – Class of 2023 - in June to celebrate their success and achievements.

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Qatar, Embassy of Pakistan, Embassy of Nepal, Embassy of Turkiye, Embassy of Sri Lanka, Embassy of Bangladesh, Embassy of Indonesia, Qatar University, and British Council. Esteemed community leaders and civil society members were also in attendance of the event.

Addressing the graduating class, Principal of TNG Ailia Rizvi congratulated the parents, students, and teachers and commended the students on their national and international achievements.

She motivated students to become discerning consumers of information who can utilise the knowledge and information gleaned as they navigate through their upcoming journeys. Concluding her remarks.

Rizvi said:“We wish you happiness always, Class of 2023. We can't wait to see what you do on your next adventure. Be strong, remain resilient, and may you always find joy in learning.”

Guest of Honour, Dr. Maha Al Thani, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Business and Economics, Qatar University, addressed the graduating class in her commencement speech. She encouraged the students on their achievements and urged them to embrace innovation and make full use of the available resources to attain their goals. Dr. Al Thani encouraged students to believe in themselves, venture beyond their comfort zones, and remain open to change.

In recognition of the accomplishments of the graduating class, several awards were announced. Along with graduation certificates, students were also presented with awards based on their display of school values. The Valedictorian Awards for Commerce and Science stream were also announced and awarded to Mohammad Farhan Arshad, Maira Umair Qureshi, and Haadiya Fayyaz. Esteemed Guest of Honours at the ceremony presented the awards to the students.

Announcing the awards, Rusna Raiz Ahammed, Headmistress of TNG Al Wakra Secondary Campus, said:“I want you to look forward and realise the positive impact which your knowledge and skills can have on this world, and on the lives of the people around you. The challenges are now greater and more complex than ever, and the world needs you.”

Dr. Waseem Kotoub, Country Director of British Council, recognised and commended the students for winning the National Award for the British Council's flagship activity, the Your World Competition.

Winning students of the annual Your World Competition organised by British Council were awarded with certificates and shield for their achievement by Dr. Waseem Kotoub, Country Director, British Council.

Winning students at the Qatar Youth Science Forum, organised by Hamad Bin Khalifa University were also applauded for their achievement.
