(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The second vessel, which used to stay blocked in Ukraine due to Russian armed aggression, has successfully reached Romania's territorial waters.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the social media platform X , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The second vessel has reached Romanian waters after successfully navigating through our temporary Black Sea corridor,” Zelensky wrote.

In his words, the ship was loaded with steel for African consumers but had been blocked in Ukraine since February 2022.

“We defend freedom of navigation with real deeds and the world benefits from stability. I thank everyone who made this possible, our port workers, our warriors and everyone who defends freedom,” the President of Ukraine stressed.

A reminder that, on August 16, 2023, the container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE, flying the flag of Hong Kong, became the first vessel to have left Ukraine's Black Sea ports since Russia's withdrawal from the Grain Deal. On August 26, 2023, the bulk carrier PRIMUS, flying the flag of Liberia, left the water area of OdPort.
