Special Counsel For Hunter Biden Finally Appointed -- Public Interest Law Professor John Banzhaf

(MENAFN- PRLog) WASHINGTON - Aug. 11, 2023 - prlog -- Attorney General Merrick Garland has finally appointed a special counsel to continue the investigation and possible prosecution - including any plea bargaining - of the President's son, Hunter Biden.
This will help to insure the impartiality of the criminal investigation since there is now substantial evidence on the record and under oath that the prior investigation and plea bargaining may have been infected by political bias and intermeddling, says public interest law professor John Banzhaf, who filed a formal legal demand for such an appointment only days ago.
Now Judge Maryellen Noreika and the public will have some assurance that the plea which will be presented to her shortly will be fair and unbiased.
She rejected the earlier plea agreement, which many said was a "sweetheart deal," because it gave Hunter unprecedented immunity from prosecution, and may well have been unconstitutional.
Here is what Prof Banzhaf published on August 1st.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 1, 2023) -
A formal legal demand for the appointment of a special counsel to "assume responsibility" for the continuing criminal investigation of Hunter Biden, including any plea agreements to be presented for approval by federal Judge Maryellen Noreika, has been filed with the Office of Attorney General Merrick Garland.
The newly-filed demand document cites 8 developments which have occurred since Garland initially refused to obey the regulation which mandates the appointment:
■ Testimony under oath of 2 whistleblowers
■ Massive amounts of additional evidence of political interference
■ Bombshell revelations at the plea deal hearing
■ DoJ's approval of unprecedented terms in the plea deal
■ The President's admission about lying concerning his son
■ Monday's testimony by Devon Archer
■ The planned testimony of U.S. Attorney Weiss
■ The planned impeachment inquiry of the President
Professor Banzhaf's legal filing with the late Judge John Sirica helped lead to the appointment of special prosecutors for Richard Nixon, and a subsequent filing by the law professor caused the late Judge Harold Greene to review a similar denial, and to order the appointment of a independent counsel.
