Foreign Trade Mentoring For Women: Applications Open

São Paulo – Brazilian businesswomen can apply to participate in“ Elas Exportam ,” a foreign trade mentoring program developed by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services and the Brazilian Trade and investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
The initiative aims to boost the presence of Brazilian women in international markets. Registration for the free mentoring is open until July 21 through public notice . In the program's first phase, launched in June this year, 169 businesswomen registered as mentors.
“Elas Exportam” will last six months and could be repeated in future cycles. Individual and collective mentoring, workshops, seminars, and oratory training will be offered to support the development of technical and socio-emotional skills and abilities necessary to foster export activity.

According to information released by the Ministry of Development, among the businesswomen who have already applied for mentoring, around 45 have been pre-selected, and 20 will be part of the first cycle of the project. The final selection will be made after the second phase when the project will receive applications from companies interested in receiving mentorship. There will be 20 businesswomen experienced in exports guiding 20 companies led by women that want to start exporting.
