Qatar University's Young Scientists Center Empowers Primary Students through Problem-Solving Program


(MENAFN) Qatar University's Young Scientists Center (YSC) recently concluded the sixth cycle of its problem-solving program for the primary stage, marking another successful milestone in their efforts to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among young students. The final event took place at Qatar University, with the esteemed presence of Professor Noora Al Thani, Director of YSC, along with professional judges representing various important sectors in Qatar. The YSC team and participating students were also in attendance, making the event a memorable occasion for all.

This particular program saw the active participation of 393 male and female students from 15 primary schools across the region. The problem-solving program is considered one of the foundational and significant initiatives offered by the Young Scientists Center, as it provides a unique educational approach aligned with the STEM curriculum. The primary goal of the program is to equip students with essential problem-solving skills through a structured framework consisting of four fundamental steps.

By engaging students in real-world challenges and encouraging them to think critically, the program aims to nurture their analytical abilities, creativity, and scientific inquiry. The Young Scientists Center strives to create an environment that promotes curiosity and hands-on learning, inspiring young minds to explore innovative solutions and broaden their understanding of STEM subjects. Through this program, students not only enhance their problem-solving capabilities but also develop a deeper appreciation for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
