QFFD Sends Aid To Victims Of Malawi Cyclone Freddy

Doha, Qatar: Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), in collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent, has sent urgent humanitarian aid to support the victims of Cyclone Freddy that struck the Republic of Malawi.

In a statement, QFFD indicated that the response aimed to assist 2,000 affected families by distributing humanitarian aid, including food baskets, cooking utensils, household hygiene kits, non-food items, and other humanitarian needs.

The assistance is intended to address the needs of the families and individuals who were affected by the cyclone. Approximately 180 people lost their lives because of the heavy rains and floods that accompanied the cyclone, while more than 140 individuals were injured.
