(MENAFN) At the Xiling gold mine in Laizhou in Shandong Province in eastern China, its taking charge of stockholders had come to a discovery of an extra 200 tons of gold. Chinese state-run gold producer Shandong Gold Mining stated on Friday.

The discovery increases the overall collective gold replacement of the mine to 580 tons, which makes it the nation`s biggest credit of the valuable metal, with a forecasted financial worth of 200 billion yuan (USD28.5 billion).

The Xiling gold mine is almost 2.000 meters long and more than 2,00 meter wide, with its peak thickness being at 62.35 meters. As the gold mineral density ranges 4.62 grams of gold a ton. The deposit is assessed to be capable of outputting 10,000 tons of gold mineral every day for the upcoming 3 decades.

Feng Tao, deputy general manager of Shandong Gold Group, who acquires the mine, commented around the discovery that “we drilled more than 180 holes over 300,000 meters. One of the drill holes is 4,006.17 meters deep, a precedent for small-diameter drilling in our country.”
