Agency: Teams In Turkiye Rescue Child 155 Hrs After Earthquake


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- Rescue teams managed to save an eight-year-old child in Gaziantep province southern Turkiye 155 hours after the devastating earthquake, which hit the country last Monday, said a media source on Sunday.
Anadolu Agency (AA) indicated that the rescue teams in Nurdagi district, Gaziantep, lifted the child from under the rubbles of a collapsed building.
Medics rushed the child to the hospital, while six other individuals were also rescued from the same building.
A 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit southern Turkiye and northern Syria last Monday, followed by violent tremors that destroyed infrastructures and led to the loss of lives and properties. (end)
