KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Health Organisation (WHO) has stressed the need for administering polio vaccine to children under five during every drive.
The UN healthy agency tweeted:“There is no cure for polio, but it can be prevented by the polio vaccine, so children under five must be receive the vaccine in every campaign.”
It wrote that the vaccination children not only protected them from the diseases, but also created a safer and healthier community for everyone.
On January 23, the Ministry of Public Health announced the launch of a polio vaccination drive in 15 provinces of the country.
