Foreign Minister's Special Envoy Meets Afghan Caretaker Government Officials

Kabul: The Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict resolution HE Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani met separately on Sunday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Interior Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Minister of Education Habibullah Agha, and the Director-General of the General Directorate of Intelligence Abdul Haq Wasiq of the Afghan caretaker government, during his current visit to Afghanistan.

During the meetings, they discussed the most important developments in Afghanistan, especially in politics, economy, development, and education.

Dr Al Qahtani reiterated Qatar's position supporting all segments of the Afghan people to obtain all their rights, particularly the right to education, especially for girls, and respect for women's right to work, stressing the continuation of Qatar's endeavors to support and facilitate efforts to reach a comprehensive political consensus that achieves security and stability in Afghanistan.

The visit comes within the framework of the efforts of Qatar and its role in helping the Afghans in several fields.
