QIIC Organises Medical Camp On Republic Day Of India

Doha: Qatar Indian Islahi Centre (QIIC) organised a full day medical camp with multiple sessions in association with Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Diabetic Association, Wellkins Medical Centre and Green Health Dental Clinic.

It was organised in connection with the 74th Republic Day celebrations of India, which Indians celebrate yearly on January 26.

The venue at QIIC Luqta headquarters was transformed into medical facility. Out of close to a quarter thousand registered almost a hundred males and female volunteers were qualified to proceed for the blood donation process supervised by the HMC Blood Bank team.

Ashraf and Shaila Ibrahim of QDA supervised the diagnosis over more than a hundred male and female participants. They also spoke and addressed the audience. Dr. Jacob Neil of Wellkins Medical Centre led the interactive session on topic of the lifestyle diseases and the importance of maintaining health. Dr. Abdul Raheem of Green Health Dental spoke about dental ailments and their treatments. Dr. Abdul Jaleel of Red Crescent dealt with illnesses and service available to the HMC card holders. Audience was entertained by the physicians who answered their queries.

Dr. Moawya Abudallah and Khaleel Mohammed of Paramedic Critical Care of HITC led the First Aid and CPR Training session. All doctors and health professionals of associating medical firms were seen busy entertaining the visitors in their kiosks. They were presented with mementos by QIIC Secretariat.

Wellkins Medical Centre also distributed QR400 worth free health checkup voucher among the participants.

Inaugural session was presided over by QIIC president, Akbar Qasim. Zubair Wakra, Hafis Aslam and Muhammed Ali Ottappalam spoke on various sessions. Mishab Islahi enlightened the Islamic persecutive of these virtuous deeds. Shameer PK welcomed, and Abdul Hadi proposed a vote of thanks.

On the sideline, QIIC convened a sitting of the doctors and professionals in the health care sector and outlined the formation of the Qatar chapter of Integrated Medical Brotherhood (IMB). Dr. Abdul Jaleel of Red Crescent has been declared as the Chairman and Dr. Biju Gafoor Vice Chairman, while Dr. Hashiyathullah will serve as General Convener.
