Minister: Real estate activities in Al-Qassim, Al-Ahsa to reinforce Saudi Arabia’s rural tourism


(MENAFN) Real estate activity in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Qassim and Al-Ahsa districts are set to surge the nation’s rural tourism, as shown by the Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib.

While giving a speech throughout a panel at the second edition of the Real Estate Future Forum — which is occurring in Riyadh — Al-Khatib clarified that any citizen that has a home or a farm in one of the following Al-Qassim or Al-Ahsa district can propose it on the tourist rural hotel system’s platform for rent as well as improvement and the Tourism Development Fund is going to supply the required financing.

Also giving a speech at the event, the Governor of Al-Qassim district Faisal bin Mishaal underlined the role of Al-Qassim and its benefits to reach sustainable progress in pushing the country.

“We hope that Al-Qassim is going to be an attractive place for rural tourism,” Mishaal stated.

He went further on to say: “Atmosphere in the city is completely different from the atmosphere in the countryside. Tourists from America, Europe, and Asia actually become very bored from the city and want to get rid of the rush hours and the heavy traffic. They really want to spend one day during the weekend, for example, in a calm place and a quieter place.”
