Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates- 12 January 2023: During last month, UAE based Visionize Technology, announced its regional expansion with its innovative technologies in the field of hotels and resorts.

In this interview with Mazen Chedid, Founder and CEO of Visionize Technology, we will gain some insight on the company’s journey and mission since its inception in the UAE:

For starters, what was the main reason behind launching Visionize?
I began my entrepreneurial journey by experimenting in different fields, but with my passion for innovative technologies combined with the beginning of the Covid period, I saw a suitable opportunity to accelerate the growth of Visionize which started as a software development company in Abu Dhabi and became a company specializing in building AI solutions for hospitality groups, which were affected the most during the pandemic. The objective was to minimize physical human interaction and save operational costs, while maintaining certain brand standards of each of the hospitality businesses. The company then flourished into a full fledge revenue generating system which automated significant tasks of hotel operations, in addition to staff performance analysis and room service facilitation by integrating multiple-feature software programs tailored by Visionize for each hotel.

What is the importance of having the Visionize system in the hotels and resorts?
Being in a time where working for increased sustainability is key, the implementation of our systems appears to successfully maximize sustainability while reducing costs and maximizing revenue. The success of this is crucially dependent on the ability to remain with the hotels’ brand standard and contribute to the enhancement of the guest experience at the same time. The trick is to be able to scale the business in a way that allows customization of software automation based on each hotel's needs, and the ability to integrate with existing systems at the properties. Generally speaking, we see huge growth potential across the region due to the increased need for smart automated solutions for guests.



Visionize is helping enhance the guest experience while generating more revenue – tell us more about that.
The system takes the load of numerous tasks done by staff. Moreover, it also entirely tracks F&B hotel operations including staff, kitchen and the very recent clearance system which completely tracks all orders, while significantly decreasing human effort and time.
Visionize combines all these operational features along with the ability to generate more revenue and higher average spend across all properties in the region, using built-in smart marketing and upselling features, along with fantastic visual experience and a seamless bilingual interface. With code built from scratch and a fast-growing portfolio of hotels around the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Iraq, Visionize ensures that each and every hotel receives tailored customization features within the system in terms of language, guest demographic, specific task automation pertaining to various operations, and other custom-built options to meet requirements accordingly.

How do you see the role of automation and artificial intelligence contributing to the field of hospitality?
The possibilities with AI are endless. As you may already know, companies are moving away from routine, rule-based automated solutions such as chatbots and toward intelligent cognitive systems that analyze data, engage in more human-like interactions, and constantly learn. By combining this with deep learning principles, the hospitality industry can ensure personalized service resulting in improved value, and a more memorable experience to their guests. Every department in a hotel can benefit from automation and AI including F&B, Housekeeping and Front Desk. With an increase in travelers, it is crucial to be able to offer highly personalized services even while keeping guest preferences in mind – this is where AI comes in handy.

What are some of the long-term plans of Visionize?
We believe in being the best within a specific niche. In our case, our business is extremely competitive within the hotel industry specifically. In fact, we are currently focused mainly on F&B and Room Service. However, our upcoming plans include planting our roots deeper into other departments of the hotel industry such as Housekeeping and Front Office. We are also in process of designing our own fully interactive space in the metaverse. We believe this will be very beneficial as our services are present regionally with the high possibility of international expansion.
